Hoi An

Views of the beautiful Vietnamese countryside!

Hoi An was such a cute and charming little town.  Cherine, a new friend from Switzerland and I really enjoyed walking around and seeing all the lanterns strung up.  It was nice to be able to stay there for 3 days and 2 nights and feel like we were getting a rest from the hustle and bustle of the tour.  This was also our first and only hotel that had a swimming pool, so I definitely took advantage of that.

My underwater camera is always a hit!  Goofing around with some of my tour mates in the pool.

Hoi An was incredibly beautiful at night with all the lanterns lit up.  There were a lot of street vendors selling lit up toys and such.  It is tradition in Hoi An to put a floating candle into the river for good luck.  You make a wish and then off it goes!

Hoi An is very popular for their tailors and many people come here to get custom clothes made.  Quite a few of my tour mates chose to get dresses and suits made while they were here.  It is mind blowing how people can make a whole suit in such a short period of time!  I went with Michael, a new friend from Australia to his fitting and was blown away at the whole operation.

Michael getting his suit made at Yaly Couture.

Such a beautiful little city and I look forward to coming back here one day!  Cherine and I joke about coming back one day to get custom wedding dresses made.  If you go to Vietnam, Hoi An is a must go place!
